Told you need surgery? You can ask before you agree.

You're allowed to ask
if you really need this surgery.

Upload your reports and our AI reads them free, in 20 to 90 seconds. If you want a human view, an independent senior specialist who will never operate on you gives you a 30-minute video consult and a written, signed second opinion within 24 hours, for ₹999. Decide to go ahead, and one named Care Manager on WhatsApp takes the ten days around the surgery off your hands and stays on the case until the insurance claim is settled.

Free to start. ₹999 only if you go on to a specialist. Nothing to pay if we can't help.

Practo Sure · Before you decide

Do you really need that surgery?

Being advised to operate is not the same as needing to. Upload your reports, prescriptions and symptoms and our AI reads them free, in 20 to 90 seconds. Then, if you choose, an independent senior specialist who will never operate on you reviews your case on a 30-minute video call and sends a written, signed opinion within 24 hours. If you don't need surgery, we tell you plainly.

  • Independent: your specialist will never be the one operating on you
  • A fixed fee of ₹999, so they earn nothing from your decision
  • Told plainly if surgery isn't needed
  • Free to start. If we can't help, you pay nothing

₹999 in total: a 30-minute video consult plus a signed written opinion within 24 hours. The AI read is free; you pay only if a specialist takes your case.

Practo Concierge · After you decide

Who carries everything else?

One named Care Manager on WhatsApp, from choosing the surgeon to the day the insurance claim is settled. They read your policy before admission, file the pre-authorisation, chase the TPA every day, book the tests, tell you the exact deposit and check the bill against the estimate. You sit with the patient. They sit with the paperwork.

  • One named person from first call to claim closure
  • Written estimate, timeline and service levels before admission
  • Every discharge bill checked before you sign
  • The case stays open until your claim is settled

₹4,999 per surgery remote, or ₹14,999 with a Practo executive in the hospital on admission day and surgery day. The ₹999 second opinion is included in both.

How it fits together

One journey. From the first doubt to the settled claim.

Most families get a surgery date and a list of things to sort out alone. Practo Sure covers the decision. Practo Concierge covers the ten days around the operation and the weeks after, until the claim is settled. The handover is the moment you decide to go ahead.

Your hospital bill, surgeon's fees and medicines are separate, as they always were. Prices shown are indicative.
What your Care Manager does

Eighteen jobs in ten days. We take them off your list.

A family does about eighteen separate tasks in the ten days around a planned surgery, from finding the surgeon to tracking the reimbursement, most of them while worried about someone. Here is who does what, leg by leg, so you can be with the patient instead of in a queue.

Nobody earns from your decision

The specialist is paid a fixed fee and will never operate on you. Say no to surgery and they earn exactly the same.

One named person

Not a helpline. One Care Manager on WhatsApp who knows your case from the first call to the settled claim. ATRP, our AI assistant, handles routine updates so they can handle the rest.

We work for you, not the hospital

You are the client. The estimate is written before admission, and the bill is checked against it, line by line, before anyone signs.

Your reports stay yours

Used only for your own review. Never shared with a hospital, insurer or anyone else without your say-so.

Questions families ask

Straight answers before you start

Do I have to buy both?

No. Start with the free AI read and stop there if you like. Take the ₹999 second opinion on its own if you just want an independent view. If you go on to a Concierge plan, the second opinion is already included, so you never pay for it twice.

Is the second opinion a diagnosis?

No. Practo Sure organises your records and gives you an independent specialist's written view of them. It is not a diagnosis and not a substitute for your treating doctor. Both products are working prototypes, and Practo Concierge coordinates care rather than delivering it. If symptoms worsen suddenly, seek in-person care.

What if the answer is that I don't need surgery?

Then we tell you plainly, in writing, and you take that to your treating doctor. The specialist earns the same fixed fee whichever way they advise and will never operate on you, so there is no reason for them to say anything but what they see. The ₹999 is the total; there is nothing further to buy from us.

What is the difference between the two Concierge plans?

Plan 1 (₹4,999) is remote: your Care Manager handles the policy read, pre-authorisation, TPA follow-up, tests, a bill check from your photographs and the claim. Plan 2 (₹14,999) adds a Practo executive physically in the hospital on admission day and surgery day, a message within 30 minutes of the patient leaving theatre, and a line-item audit of the bill at the discharge desk before you sign.

Are attendant stay, meals, transport and nursing included in the fee?

No. We arrange them for you, but those providers bill you directly at their own rates. The Concierge fee pays for our people and our time. Your hospital bill, surgeon's fees and medicines are separate too. Prices shown are indicative.

Do you promise my claim will be approved?

No. Only the insurer decides that. What we commit to is the work: policy read before admission, pre-authorisation filed within 4 hours of documents complete, the TPA chased daily, and the claim pursued until a decision is on record, working to 30 days from discharge. About 1 in 12 health insurance claims is rejected or stalled (IRDAI annual report 2026, as reported). That is why we stay on it.

I live in another city. Does this work for me?

Yes. Everything in Plan 1 happens on WhatsApp and phone, so you can run it from anywhere. Plan 2 puts a Practo executive in the hospital on admission day and surgery day, and you get a message within 30 minutes of the patient leaving theatre. Practo Assured has 1,000+ partner hospitals across 25+ cities.

How does the fee compare with the cost of the surgery?

₹4,999 is about 4% of an average ₹1.15 lakh surgery. For that, one named person takes on the eighteen or so tasks a family otherwise does in the ten days around a surgery, and stays on the case until the claim is settled. Prices shown are indicative; your written all-in estimate before admission sets out the hospital costs.
